Brea Lengyel is a registered yoga instructor with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 hr level. She has a background in dance, and is a member of a local modern dance company, Canyon Movement Company. She is passionate about yoga as a supplement for any dance practice. She believes that the meditative aspect of yoga can help dancers become experts at initiating movements with the breath. Yoga can benefit everyone by enhancing flexibility and releasing tension built up in the fascia and ligaments, as we simultaneously build strength to support our joints and protect ourselves from wear and tear. Brea loves the resiliency that yoga creates, both in the body and the mind. Brea is qualified to teach a variety of yoga styles including Iyengar, Restorative, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, Adaptive Yoga for Individuals with Special Needs, and Trauma-Informed Yoga.

FCBD® style dance can be described as a non-verbal language made up of
vocabulary, punctuation, and grammar. The vocabulary consists of the moves based on
folkloric dance moves of people from the Middle East, North Africa, Spain, and India.
. The dance is
done in formations, with the formations serving as the grammar. By learning the
elements of this language, a group of dancers can improvise and create movement art
“on the fly” and in that process have a great deal of fun.
